NMDOT News:SANTA FE 鈥?As New Mexicans participate i stanley cup n Labor Day weekend activities involving alcohol, the New Mexico Department of Transportation NMDOT and its partners are promoting a program to get people living in the Bernalillo County metro area home safely.NMDOT is partnering with Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, Cumulus radio stations and Uber to support the Take a Ride on Us program designed to combat drunk driving.The program offers 1,000 participants an Uber credit of up to $10, two rides per person beginning noon Friday, Sept. 3 through 3 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7.Participants will access the credit through the Uber app using the code: LABOR2021.聽The code is available for download today, Aug. 30.Tips are stanley germany not included, and refunds are not provided for trips costing less than the $10 credit. Senior Sopahn Kellogg, was selected to receive the June Ettinger Memorial Scholarship.Madeleine LeScouarnecTh stanley cup e students each submitted apersonal narrative of about 500 words, on a book whichwas not required for school and which has not been translated into a visual medium. They were asked to tell their readers in what ways the book has added to their understanding of the human condition or has enhanced their life.Sopahn KelloggVolunteer readers for the Friends were Patty Kokesh, Ruth Cox, Candee Haskins and Art Brown, along with Joanna Gillespie of the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation. The readers independently read 19 essays and the five top-scoring writers were awarded the scholarships.Sarah WallstromThe Friends raise money for the annual scholarship through their all-volunteer bookstore at Mesa Public Library and by public donations.
