There's a peculiar thrill in the slow build. Like the wind's first kiss on a summer's day, or the sweet sticky anticipation clinging to dew-laden jasmine at dawn. It’s gradual. It’s tangible. The kind of feeling you can almost taste. At the age of 35, I've found my defining performance art medium in this tantalising ethereal dance; the slow, agonising ballet that cascades into the thunderous crescendo of dominance.
This trade of mine is mischievous, playful even. While painting sceneries, a fierce allure floods my senses. I am the lush oasis, the untamed wildfire, and the sultry night moon merged into one. The stage is my canvas, rendered into a viewer's paradise. Every movement, every pulse of energy becomes a daring testament of my own passion and power.
The exploration is an essential aspect of my art. It begins subtly, as innocent as a whisper. As each body motion explores the rhythm of the music, my dominance over the space begins to take form. I reveal it slowly, teasingly, sparking the wildfire of anticipation within my audience.
Yet, the beauty doesn't just lie in the crescendo. The rush doesn't solely dwell at the climax. There's an exquisite allure in the breathless suspense that precedes it. It's the held breath of the audience, the silent plea for more, as I twirl and dip, casting shadows and light in the palpable hush of the room.
The manner in which dominance manifests in my performances is ever-changing. I don’t violate space, but rather become it, coaxing it into submission, into acceptance. I metamorphise into the current that leads my audience, dictating where their eyes should move, under what light they should blink and just how deep they should breathe.
So, at the end of the day, it isn’t really about the tease, nor the voices of applause. It isn't about dominance for the sake of power. It’s the effortless dance between the slow build and the assertive release that makes my work a ticket to the viewer's paradise. I find that to be the true magic of my art form, the exquisite brand of my performance storytelling. It's the careful, passionate control over the journey, over the narrative that guides my every move. It stirs my soul and perhaps, just perhaps, it stirs my audience too. |
