BANGOR 鈥?Two men made their first appearances  stanley polska last week in U.S. District Court on child pornography charges in unrelated cases.Lester Brown, 61, of Madison is charged with po stanley kubek ssession of child pornography.Christopher Keith Hitchcock, 25, of Fort Fairfield is charged with transportation, receipt and possession of child pornography.Both men were indicted Feb. 7 by a federal grand jury in Bangor.Brown pleaded not guilty Friday. He is charged with possessing child pornography between June 29, 2011, and Nov. 2, 2012, according to the indictment.He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail. Conditions include home detention, no unsupervised contact with minors, no access to a computer and no use of alcohol.Hitchcock pleaded not guilty Thursday.He allegedly sent images of child pornography by email between June 24, 2010, and March 24, 2011, and received images of child pornography between June 20, 2010, and Nov. 8, 2010. Between June 20, 2010, and May 31, 2011, Hitchcock possessed child pornography, according to the indictment.On Friday, Hitchcock agreed to be held without bail pending the outcome of his case.U.S. District Judge John Woodcock tentatively set both cases for trial on April 2.If convicted, each man faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 on the poss stanley kubek termiczny ession charges.In addition to that penalty, Hitchcock faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in prison on the transporting and receiving child pornography charge.More articles from the BDN
