Updated
A family member has been arrested in relation to the drowning of a man whose body was caught by floods.
Sunder Creek, in the remote South West of Queensland, was struck by a flood of around 200mm that started over the weekend.
The river reached its highest levels ever reported and caused damage to vehicles and homes.
A 50-year-old man drowned when he lost control of his car after being dumped in the flooding area.
The man, believed to be in his late 40s and of a family from the remote tribal community of Manguon in northern Queensland, has been charged with abandoning his car.
Police are continuing to search for a second person, who was with his family when they lost control of the vehicle.
Police say they hope the man can provide information that might lead to their recovery.

He proved against the Sharks that his big brother is ready for the big time. 11/11 Adam Quinlan (9) After having his share of bad luck this year, he finally broke out for the Kangaroos against the Rabbitohs on Sunday. He ran with the ball, and finished well to keep his spot in the top five. 1/11 Sam Burgess (14) He gave the Storm a scare with his powerful and accurate tackle against the Rebels, and he has been the perfect foil for the young trio of Luke Lewis and Ben Hunt in 2016. It was his best game so far and his leadership earned him a spot at the top of the pile. 2/11 Josh Aloiai (6) Has played well in the two losses to the Storm this year. It shows just how well he is in his own right. 3/11 Cooper Cronk (17) Had a very good game in the win over the Storm, including a great try to keep the Storm in the game. This season he has stepped up his game to his best, and is on course to be the main man in the starting XV for the next series. 4/11 Paul Gallen (15) This man doesn't take any breaks. He goes straight at a teammate and tackles the kicker at half speed, which may have changed the complexion of the match. 5/11 Luke Jackson (15) When he is playing well and is the main man in the pack, the Storm always look dangerous, and Jackson has been doing very well. 6/11 Anthony Milford (12) Has always been a solid second ruckman for the Storm.
